Just what is the Iowa Meat Truck? We’re a bunch of Iowa-born, corn-fed friends who already owned a business together and saw an opportunity to bring beef and pork eaters a bit closer to the farmers and butchers who are doing amazing work to produce the best meat on the planet. We not only wanted to provide premium meat via an easy and efficient online shopping experience, we wanted to bring it right to our customers’ doors.

So, in 2020, we created the Iowa Meat Truck and are proud of four years of trucking around the Des Moines metro and beyond.

This is where things get fun, because while we parked our truck, another “Truck” named Peyton Williams was making the rounds…actually, rounding the bases to be exact for the Toronto Blue Jays’ farm team the New Hampshire Fisher Cats.

Williams grew up next door to an Iowa Meat Truck founder and wore a branded shirt to a team meeting. From then on, the Iowa boy who also played for the University of Iowa Hawkeye baseball team, was known as The Iowa Meat Truck. As the 6’5,” 255-lb, left-handed, first baseman began delivering regular homeruns, the nickname’s popularity grew. Now, Williams honks the horn each time he rounds the bases.

And our horn began to ring…Fisher Cat fans and Iowa friends of Williams wanted some swag.

We are so truckin’ proud of this Iowa boy making his way up the league and are happy to “meat” this need.
